Every month, we feature a successful transformation from one of our Next Level Evolution clients. This month, we're focusing on our longtime client, Tjay Lundfelt.
A common question: How long does a transformation take?
A: The duration required to observe results from gym workouts and fine-tuning your nutrition varies based on your objectives and current fitness level. A noticeable change usually occurs within the first 12 weeks. After this period, the body adjusts, and you should be able to sustain your progress. However, this still necessitates maintaining the daily habits and routines that contributed to your progress and achieving lasting results.
Meet our NLE Client: Tjay!
A dedicated natural bodybuilding athlete, Tjay has consistently demonstrated over the past four years as a client that a true passion for the process, the phases, and the journey is essential. Although her love for bodybuilding drives her, her most defining moments come from completing each bodybuilding prep. This commitment allows her to evaluate each prep, gaining insights into how her body responds to various factors.
Coaching Tjay has been a privilege, to say the least, because it requires a coach to go through many preparations, phases, and time to truly understand how a client's body responds. Naturally building lean muscle mass in your 40s demands a lot of time and food. However, even though it requires a lot of food, Tjay is an endomorph, which is considered one of the most challenging body types for a bodybuilder. You must carefully manage body fat while gaining lean muscle. Additionally, being in your 40s brings hormonal imbalances, mineral deficiencies, and the need to ensure that the body remains healthy and hormonally balanced both off-season and on-season. Therefore, understanding when to take a break from competing and when to refocus on building and restoring the body to a healthy state is why it's crucial to stay with your coach—not merely for pursuing trophies or wins, but to continue doing what you love for an extended period.

As I am writing this, Tjay is enjoying her well deserved vacation with her amazing and supportive husband, Chris, in Mexico. Which as a Coach, I am proud to know that she has the best support while pursuing competitive bodybuilding. That is key to not only be able to balance, but to ensure your relationship is secure to handle the time away from home and the hard dieting. Support from the home front is key!
Next up, we get back on our program and we keep doing what we love as Coach and client.
Tjay knows this, but I am a better Coach and person because she is in my life and a part of the Next Level Evolution family. She continues to show up each week regardless and that is what has continued to motivate me as a Coach because she believes in me.
Finally, although I could write an entire book about our adventures before and after a bodybuilding show, if there's one type of relationship I wish for all my clients, it's one like this, which genuinely challenges us both personally and professionally to keep growing and advancing. While some might expect a transformation post with numbers from a scale or assessment, they are mistaken. The greatest transformation is witnessing a client persist in doing what they love, maintaining accountability, and empowering themselves to continue practicing the daily habits that brought them to their current success. This is far more significant!
